Busy Busy Busy

Well we have had a very busy couple of weeks, lots of work around the house painting and cleaning out we will have to have a garage sale to get rid of all the extra items.
Dylan has been on school camp his first one and he had a ball, they all looked exhausted when they got off the bus, and his eyes were soooooo tired and he was starving hungry and hasnt stopped eating since.

We went out on the weekend and purchased a new lounge suite which is very comfy and very large it looks huge in the house will take a bit of getting used to but it is lovely to have a new one. The old one is heading to Dundee.

The other purchase from the weekend was a car for me woo hoo we bought a Honda Jazz it is very roomy and has 4 doors Dylan looks tiny in the back, Dylan and I picked it up yesterday and went driving around and when it got dark we were sitting in it opening and closing doors watching the interior light go out by itself (sad isnt it) but we had a good time.

Cooking up a storm

Friday night Linda Bev and myself went along to a healthy cooking with no fuss class, run by Activate NT it was free all part of the 10 week programme we had a ball i was red as from being at the athletics carnival all day but we wipped up a lovely pork stir fry the other dishes were lamb curry fish cakes frittata and chicken stir fry. Once we had all finished we all got to try them all and we even got a glass of wine. It was a great night hopefully we can get into the next one as well. linda summed the night up as "Gordon Ramsey meets Iron chef meets Ladetts to Lady.

Athletics carnival

Dylan had his Athletics carnival on Friday and i went along as a helper.

He started the day with 800mtrs and didnt stop running at all on the 2nd lap he started overtaking people. He followed this up with 400mtrs 200mtrs and 100mtrs, he also did the long jump high jump shot put and discus. It was a hot day but the day went quite quickly, luckily as i got quite burnt.

Easter

we went camping for Easter down to Dundee Beach it was a hot and sticky weekend but we had a ball. The kids really enjoyed playing at the beach in the rock pools and building sand castles.

We roasted marshmallows in the fire that i had to light as TOny said it was too hot for a fire so put all my fire lighting skills into action and had enough flame to roast a bag full.

We even had an easter egg hunt the easter bunny had found us and left some eggs in the esky for me to hide so after putting them into plastic bags to keep the bugs ants and dogs away from them the kids hid in the bathroom whilst i hid them everywhere they had a ball looking for them.

Here are Dylan and TOny going up for their helicopter flight at the Housewarming party on saturday night, what a fantastic night it was we all had a ball and it was the best housewarming ive ever been to.

Dylan had his swimming carnival on Friday and went in a 25mtr race, and had a ball he was very tired friday night and we had to go out to dinner so a late night as well.

Its Gone

Hi all well at long long last Dylan has lost one of his front top teeth and of course there has to be a story to go with it, at least he hasnt swallowed this one. Last week at swimming lessons the boogie board flipped up and hit him in the mouth and knocked his tooth to a very strange angle to say the least, Dylan then knocked it at home and of course it was bleeding again and he was very concerned. He wouldnt let us touch it and he wouldnt wobble it so we just waited, last night he went off to Judo he was doing really well performing his back roll brakefalls and then a look of horror came upon his face he looked at me then opened his mouth blood everywhere and he is wearing a white judo suit he comes racing over hands full of blood and his mouth as well the Coach is beside himself as all he saw was the blood and came rushing over but i assured him it was only a baby tooth and all was well. Once the blood was undercontrol we of course had to look for the tooth or the tooth fairy wouldnt come after searching through his suit it was established it had to still be out on the judo mat so a search was undertaken for the tiny little tooth and it was located before someone landed on it and injured themselves. And yes the tooth fairy came.

ITS DOWN

Sunday Michelle Linda and i joined Activate NT which goes for 10 weeks, then on Monday night we all started with a walk down at Nightcliff it was quite a fast walk and i could really feel it when i finished and Tuesday morning i was as sore as.

Well the tree is down and yes the white ants had been hard at work chewing through the middle of the tree. When i got home on Friday night TOny had his chain saw stuck up the top of the tree, he had cut out a large v on the front and whilst cutting through the side the tree moved and trapped his chain saw. So TOny tied a rope to the top and we pulled and pulled and pulled and pulled and pulled for forever but eventually it gave a large crack and then hit the ground with a huge thud which shook the house. Tony then used the cherry picker and cut down another 2 trees over the weekend.

Dylan had a great sleepover and when he got home on Saturday all he wanted to do was go up in the cherry picker so up up up he and his Dad went he just loves it.

Well tonight will be quiet in our house, Dylan is going for a sleep over to a friends house from School. This is his first sleep over at a friend from school and im feeling a little emotional about it all. Wont get to see him until Saturday arvo.
Tony has his mind set on cutting down a very large palm in our front garden which he has found a large crack in and evidence of white ants, so by the time i get home this arvo im sure it will be well on its way down but then i worry what else will go, Tony alone with a cherry picker and a chain saw not a good combination.
Im nearly over my bali sickness about 80% now still crash and burn by the end of the day and sleep all night which is good.

We are hopefully going down to Dundee on SUnday to check out the block and cut the grass, getting ready for Easter as we plan to go camping for a break really looking forward to it.

On the 17th February i flew to Bali with a group of Friends we had a great time as you can see by some of the following photos

Dylan celebrated his 8th birthday with a bowling party he had a ball and got very spoilt as well, He got lots and lots of presents (as normal). We bought him an ipod shuffle which he thinks is fantastic he also got a new scooter which he zooms around on and Busta runs behind him.
